Unveiling my new home office!
As any author will tell you, there’s no substitute for having your own office–a quiet, dedicated work space free from snoring husbands and Matchbox cars–where you can focus on the voices in your head. So I transformed our formal dining room (really, were we ever going to use it?) into my bright and sunny sanctuary-o-fiction.

And after!

Much better than a dining room, don’t you think?

It’s absolutely gorgeous! I want that desk! Where’d you get it? I wish you’d come decorate at my house!!
Heather, my parents gave me the furniture, which originally came from Pulaski, VA. It’s so much prettier in person, with the hand-painted roses.
I have a new desk and Ty says he’ll paint it any way I want. Can you send me better pics? I want to do something similar! I wonder if he thought I’d want roses painted on my desk? Lol!
The rug is gorgeous! I need details on that, too!!
I really love it — looks very calming!
Gorgeous! Love the rug and the comfy couch. You might need more bookshelves for you future publications…. =)
LOVE IT! What a great space!
Oh, this is awesome. Beautiful, Macy!
How did I miss this? Seriously! Awesome new office! Does it still look so neat?
